Two injured, one critical after head-on collision in Wingate

Wingate Fire Rescue shared that in this 500-foot stretch, there have been four semis and three civilian vehicles with trailers that lost control due to excessive speed for road conditions (moisture). All were heading northbound and crossed into oncoming traffic except for one, a commercial hay hauler who overcorrected after going off the right shoulder and flipped as the load shifted.

Wingate Fire Rescue would like to remind drivers to slow down and avoid accelerating while driving around curves in the road.
