Acclaimed Pittsburgh chef joins Deshantz Restaurant Group’s soon-to-open concept

One of the brightest stars of Pittsburgh’s food scene has been tapped as executive chef of the Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group’s latest concept, due to open the last week of May.

Jamilka Borges has been named to the post at Sally Ann’s. Previously of Legume, Spoon and her most recent pop-up, Wild Child, Borges was a James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Rising Star in 2015 and for Best Chef Mid Atlantic in 2019, as well as Pittsburgh Magazine Chef of the Year 2018.
