COSHOCTON – She grew up with an idea what she wanted to do. Then she added her other love to it.

“I wanted to be a dentist,” explained Lyndsi Gadd, “but I ended up as a hygienist due to not wanting to do the extra schooling.

“But I also have loved all things girly my whole life,” she added. “I had to have the high heels, anything sparkly, and makeup and accessories too.”

Today, Gadd is the owner and soul proprietor of Lynnie Lou’s Boutique, specializing in women’s business casual clothing, purses, jewelry and other accessories.

“I never saw myself owning a boutique of my own until about five years ago,” she said. “I still love all things girly and wanted to be able to share that love with others.”

Gadd grew up mostly in West Lafayette, graduated from Ridgewood in 2004, then earned a degree in dental hygiene from West Liberty State College (now University) in West Virginia in 2007.

“I’m currently a dental hygienist at Coshocton Dentistry on Main Street,” she said. “But I also love fashion and shopping. So why not open my own shop where I can help women feel more confident in what they choose to wear.”

Her longtime friend, and now customer, Christi Carpenter, is glad she did.

“I’ve made it my weekly ritual to stop in the shop,” said Carpenter, “to see what new items she’s brought in and I’m never disappointed. It’s been very inspiring watching Lyndsi have the dream of opening her own boutique and working tirelessly to make it happen. Lyndsi has always had a great eye for fashion and I’m proud of her creating this opportunity for herself.”

“I’m enjoying every moment,” responded Gadd. “It’s been a lot of fun. And definitely a dream come true.

“It’s crazy sometimes where life takes us,” she concluded. “But I’d definitely not trade a moment. The community of Coshocton and Roscoe Village have been amazing and super supportive.”
