FRESNO – They’re a husband-wife team. He’s a welder. She’s an accountant. Together they operate Fresno Fabrication.

“We’re very adamant side-by-side riders,” declared Amber Guilliams. “The side-by-side industry is always changing and new things are coming out. My husband Morgan, being a welder and fabricator, had a background of knowledge in the business and wanted to learn to create custom side-by-side cages, doors, tree bars, bumpers and other parts.

“When our friends had an accident in their side-by-side,” she added, “and wanted a stronger custom cage to bring their buggy back to life, Morgan thought there was no better time to get started.”

Morgan Guilliams and Amber (Michael) Guilliams both grew up in Fresno and went to Ridgewood High School. Morgan went on to study welding. Amber studied accounting and business.

“I always thought I would end up being a veterinarian,” Amber said, “or working alongside animals, so my path completely changed as I went on to the business world. Morgan started welding in high school and went to the career center for metal fabrication. He knew he wanted to work in the metal fabrication business.”

They started Fresno Fabrication in March 2021.

“We originally started off,” Amber continued, “by doing welding repair jobs and creating custom metal work such as chimineas that could be done by hand. Then in May of 2021 we started getting into the side-by-side cages and accessories, and then December into the plas table creations of custom signs and parts. I run the CNC plasma table creating custom signs, parts, and accessories. Morgan does the welding repair services, then Morgan and his very good friend and our neighbor, Cody Carnes, create the custom side-by-side roll cages, bumpers and other accessories."

They’re talents that haven’t gone unnoticed.

“We love to see young entrepreneurs take a passion and turn it into a business,” assessed Amy Crown, executive director of the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce. “The Guilliams have done just that and continue to expand their business with new and exciting services.”

“It’s definitely from the heart,” Amber responded. “We all have full time day jobs. So this is just an added bonus of enjoyment that we do after work and weekends. ”

“I never personally thought I would ever be running a CNC plas table myself,” she concluded. “But it’s a nice way to get out of the office and into the garage. The hands-on work is rewarding and a nice change of pace and scenery. Morgan has always loved riding side-by-sides, so I think this is a dream come true for him. We’re very pleased and thankful for where we landed.”
