The scholarship is awarded to honor and remember the late G. William Rice, an Indian law practitioner, professor and co-director of the Native American Law Center at the University of Tulsa College of Law, who died in 2016.

This year’s winners were recognized at the Indian Law Section’s annual meeting held during the OBA annual meeting. The scholarship award of $2,000 to each recipient is intended to defray the costs of bar examination preparation courses.
