How to activate Crab Walk on the GMC Hummer EV
At Autoblog’s Tech of the Year, Road Test Editor Zac Palmer shows us the steps to activate the Crab Walk mode on the fully electric GMC Hummer EV.

ZAC PALMER: Hey, guys. We're inside the GMC Hummer EV. I'm going to show you how you activate a Crab Walk on the Hummer and then show you guys what it looks like in action too. So when you're inside, you got a little Mode Switcher here.
You'll notice a Crab Walk indicator on said Switcher. All you have to do is hold that for 6 seconds. And you'll notice a screen pops up.
As soon as the Crab Walk circle fills, the Crab Walk Mode is on and you will start moving diagonally down the road, because both the front and the rear wheels are turned in the same direction. The rear wheels can turn up to 10 degrees in the same direction as the front, which allows this really crazy, diagonal movement. It's a lot of fun to look at.
