Police investigation outside federal building shuts down Fifth Street, scene cleared
The intersection of Fifth and Main streets in downtown Cincinnati was shut down for an active police investigation Friday evening.
Police have cleared the scene and reopened the intersection. There was no evidence of a shooting. Investigators believe a hairline crack caused glass near the front door to break
According to Cincinnati police, there was no foot traffic or vehicle traffic allowed until the investigation was completed.

The John Weld Peck Federal Building's main tenant is the Internal Revenue Service. It also houses offices for the Department of Homeland Security's Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Trade Bureau, the National Labor Relations Board and more.
