Activist Angela Davis on Biden/Harris ticket

Speaking a day after Senator Kamala Harris became the first Black woman on a major party presidential ticket in U.S. history, activist and professor Angela Davis 'conditioned' her excitement.

"I was sitting here today looking at The New York Times, the review - the cover of The New York Times. Now, this isn't to say that Kamala doesn't have problematic areas of her record. And we can't forget that she did not oppose the death penalty. And we can't forget some of the real problems that are associated with her career as a prosecutor. But I think it's a feminist approach to be able to work with those contradictions, to be able to dwell there. And so, in that context, I can say that I'm very excited," Davis said.
