Investigators are suspecting arson after a fire at a Tesla factory construction site in Germany after an activist group claimed responsibility for setting the blaze.

The fire, which occurred Wednesday at Tesla’s first Gigafactory in Europe, in the eastern town of Grünheide, damaged several power cables.

According to The Guardian, a letter that circulated on social media Wednesday claimed responsibility and appeared to include details not released publicly. The name of the group claiming responsibility was not released.

“Tesla is neither green, ecological nor social,” said the letter, according to a police spokesperson.

Previously, the construction of the factory had been delayed over environmental concerns regarding the potential impact to wildlife and water sources.

The factory is set to open at the end of 2021 but could face more delays after the recent fire.
