Jason Alexander is the latest star to grace WRCH’s latest “Nite of Lite Laughter” benefit for breast cancer. The 25th annual event will be held Nov. 3 at The Bushnell.

Alexander, best known as Jerry’s hapless pal George in “Seinfeld,” was a Tony-winning Broadway performer before his sitcom fame, and has recently been busy as a stage director. His movie work ranges from the vile Philip Stuckey in “Pretty Woman” to Boris Badenov in the live-action “The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle.” He continues to be seen on TV, on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “The Conners,” “Mad About You” and “History of the World, Part II.” He is also known as a magician, a poker player who has played on Bravo’s “Celebrity Poker Showdown.”

Alexander’s live act, titled “As Long As You’re Asking: A Conversation with Jason Alexander,” covers the varying aspects of his career. He sings, does comedy, tells stories and takes questions from the audience. He has been touring the show for years.

WRCH, Lite 100.5FM, has been holding its “Nite of Lite Laughter” benefits since the late 1990s. The benefit raises money for breast cancer research, specifically through the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at Hartford Hospital. Previous stars to perform have included Jay Leno, Lily Tomlin, Dana Carvey and a double bill of Rita Rudner and Louie Anderson.

Tickets for the “Nite of Lite Laughter” benefit go on sale on Friday at the Bushnell box office or online at bushnell.org.
