'Actor' Dog Howls as Owner Tends to Fake Injury

Hollywood may soon come calling for a seven-year-old dog in Canada named Hermes who has a knack for faking injuries to get attention.

In video posted by Hermes’ owner, Madison Allen, Allen asks viewers: “You guys wanna know how my dog’s an actor?” With Hermes in her lap, Allen begins expressing concern for him, as if he’s been hurt. Hermes immediately plays along, letting out whimpers and cries.

“It’s okay honey, it’s okay! Where does it hurt?” Allen asks Hermes.

When Allen lets a long, drawn-out “ow”, Hermes howls alongside her.

However, once Allen asks Hermes if he wanted to go for a car ride, the dog breaks character, perks up his ears, and jumps to his feet without any trouble. Credit: Madison Allen via Storyful
