Actor Garrett Hedund tried to jump out of car before public intoxication arrest: report

“Friday Night Lights” and “TRON: Legacy” star Garrett Hedlund, who was arrested for public intoxication on Saturday in Tennessee, reportedly tried to jump out of a moving car earlier in the day.

According to a TMZ report, the actor then attacked a man who did not want to press criminal charges in Franklin County. Officers found him slurring his speech while trying to get into a building.

Hedlund was also recently sued by two women, a mother and a daughter, who claim they were injured in a January 2020 car crash with the actor. He was charged with DUI in that incident.

“There were open bottles of alcoholic beverages in the vehicle which Hedlund discarded prior to the arrival of police,” claims the lawsuit.

“Hedlund tried to flee the scene of the accident by attempting to continue to turn on his vehicle and driver, forcing others to take away his keys and prevent him from leaving.”

Hedlund reportedly recently broke up with his wife, actress Emma Roberts, with whom he shares a 1-year-old son.
