Feb. 8—Jamie Kennedy, a stand-up comedian and actor known for his roles in the "Scream" movie series and his network television show the "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment," will be performing at the State Theatre in Logansport on Friday.

The event is hosted by Mike Fountain and also features K Frances Norris. General admission is $25 if purchasing online and $30 at the door. VIP tables are sold out. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Must be 21 years of age or older to attend.

Kennedy landed his big break when he was cast in Baz Luhrman's "Romeo + Juliet," alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, in 1996. His breakthrough performance came later that year as film buff Randy Meeks in Wes Craven's "Scream," a role which he revisited two years later in "Scream 2."

In 2002, Kennedy created The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, which became the WB's highest-rated show. On the show Kennedy portrayed a number of characters, including fan favorite Brad Gluckman, a white rapper from Malibu. Kennedy would go on to play the character in the film, "Malibu's Most Wanted." His other film appearances include "Kickin' it Old Skool," the "Tremors" series, "Three Kings," "Enemy of the State" and "Boiler Room."

With over 190 episodes of television under his belt, Jamie has lent his voice to characters on FOX's The Cleveland Show and Comedy Central animated series, Legends Of Chamberlain Heights.

Jamie also has released a number of comedy specials and can be seen performing his stand up across the country.
