Actress Octavia Spencer to make appearance at New Orleans bookstore

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer is making an appearance with a Louisiana author at a New Orleans bookstore at the end of February.
On Feb. 29, Spencer and Louisiana author Ashley Elston will make an appearance at the Garden District Book Shop to promote Elston’s book “First Lie Wins.”

According to a release, the book is a “stylish and twisty thriller, already in development by Spencer and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ showrunner Krista Vernoff.”
Starting at 6 p.m., Elston and Spencer will talk and answer questions about the book and adaptation. Elston will also sign copies of the book.
The release states the event is open to the public, but reservations are recommended.
