The only damper on the 67th celebration of singing and creativity will be the absence of Bob Hunter.

Yet, he will be present in tribute.

Hunter, who founded this event in 1957, died Feb. 11. Last fall, during the university's opening assembly, it was announced the stage would be named in his honor. Hunter, 94, was there to acknowledge the honor.

The show this year was dedicated to Hunter, and a video highlighting his ACU life was shown.

This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the singing of "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" at the conclusion of the performance.

Various ACU social clubs, student organizations and classes participate in the event, during which student hosts entertain between acts. Performances are accented by use of props, costumes and original lyrics.

Themes this year include Toyland, the Wizard of Oz and the movie "Top Gun." One group creatively presents the evening news.
