Adam Driver has revealed whether he would ever return to the Star Wars franchise – despite his character's tragic death in Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.

Driver, who played Kylo Ren / Ben Solo in the latest Skywalker saga trilogy, has admitted that he's not "totally against" the idea of reprising his role as the troubled First Order leader turned brooding hero.

Whether it would be as some kind of resurrection or prequel appearance, Adam Driver told UNILAD that he's "definitely not averse" to starring in another blockbuster franchise.

"No, I'm totally not against it," the House of Gucci actor revealed. "For me, it's a filmmaker's medium, so my only thing is working with great filmmakers. Whatever the size… it's never been interesting to me, to an extent."

Clearly fond of both a quieter indie role and playing the leading man, Driver said that there are "interesting things about working on both" types of movie.

"I always just follow people I'd be interested in working with, and whether I'd be right for the part – things like that," he continued. "[So], no, definitely not averse."

Whether Ben Solo will ever return to the Star Wars universe is yet to be seen, but boss Kathleen Kennedy recently suggested that there's every chance of the likes of Rey, Finn, and Poe re-appearing in the future.

"Certainly, those are not characters we're going to forget," Kennedy said recently. "They will live on, and those are conversations that are going on with the creative team as well."
