Adam Levine has addressed allegations that he cheated on his wife Behati Prinsloo, with the Maroon 5 frontman claiming that he “did not have an affair” but did “cross the line”.

The singer, 43, who is currently expecting his third child with his wife of eight years, responded to the allegations, which were shared on TikTok by a woman claiming to have had a relationship with Levine, with an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgement in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner,” Levine wrote in a post shared to his Stories. “I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life.”

In the post, the singer then said that, “in certain instances, it became inappropriate” and that he has “addressed that” and “taken proactive steps to remedy this with [his] family”.

“My wife and my family is all I care about in this world,” he continued. “To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again.

“I take full responsibility.”
