As the former player recently joined FOX Sports as a full-time MLB analyst, he has also switched gears from baseball, pursuing a career in country music.

Wainwright released his first single in December, titled “Time to Fly,” which was directly dedicated to Cardinals fans.

The announcement of his appearance at the Grand Ole Opry is timely, as his full album will be released this Spring.

For those who are unable to attend in person, Wainwright says fans will be able to tune in live here.
