Adele has tearfully announced that her Las Vegas residency has been postponed ahead of its planned first show.

The 'Easy On Me' singer was due to kick off a few months of weekend shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this evening (January 21), ending in mid-April.

However, taking to her social media, Adele shared an emotional clip where she apologised for postponing the concerts amid COVID-19 delays, confirming that "all dates will be rescheduled".

"I'm so sorry, but my show ain't ready," the visibly upset singer began. "We've tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.

"Half my crew and team are down with COVID and still are, and it's been impossible to finish the show. I can't give you what I have right now. I'm gutted – I'm sorry it's so last minute, we've been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we've run out of time.

"I'm so upset and I'm really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that travelled again. I'm really, really sorry."

Adele added: "We're going to reschedule all of the dates, we're on it right now, and I'm gonna finish my show and I'm gonna get it to where it's supposed to be.

"I'm so sorry, it's been impossible. We've been up against so much and it just ain't ready. I'm really sorry."

Adele released her long-awaited fourth album 30 back in November, which unsurprisingly topped the charts across the globe and became the bestselling album of 2021 in the US and the UK.
