Adele has opened up about her drinking habits in a new makeup tutorial video.

Speaking to Nikki de Jager, aka Nikki Tutorials, the 33-year-old singer explained the reasons why she used to drink.

“I would normally drink to make other people interesting, rather than to spice myself up!” she said as de Jager did her makeup.

“People are parties are bloody boring,” Adele added. “It’s true!”

The duo also discussed Adele’s song, “I Drink Wine” while sipping on glasses of white wine, and talked in-depth about how being famous has affected the singer’s lifestyle to the point where she finds it difficult to go to the supermarket.

“Because I don’t like being photographed and things like that, the planning that goes into it is f***ing exhausting,” she said.

The musician went on to talk about how she stays grounded.

“Oh my son, don’t you worry! And my two f***ing new puppies,” she said.

Elsewhere in the video, Adele spoke about the celebrities she adores.

“I would freak out over The Rock [...] he sent me flowers the other day because him and his wife couldn’t make my show. Literally, I nearly fell off my chair!” she said.

“I wish he was my dad. Oh yeah, it’s not like I - I haven’t got a crush on him or anything, he’s amazing.”

The interview follows the release of Adele’s fourth studio album, 30, which was inspired by the singer’s divorce to her partner Simon Konecki,

Earlier this week, Ocado has said it saw a spike in tissue sales increase last month as a result of the release of the first song from the album: “Easy On Me”.

The online supermarket released its first trends report on Tuesday and noted that tissue sales rose by more than a quarter (26 per cent) in October, which coincided with the release of the lead single off 30.
