Adele doesn't have 'solid plans' for tour amid coronavirus pandemic

Adele has revealed she doesn't know whether she'll be able to tour with her new album in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The singer-songwriter has unveiled her hotly-anticipated new song, ‘Easy On Me’, after a long hiatus, and her new album, 30, is out in November.

Fans have been wondering whether the star will hit the road for any shows, but she has now shared that things are still uncertain.

Chatting to Zoe Ball on Radio 2, she said: “I don’t have any solid plans because of COVID.

“It’s so hard to plan a global tour or global thing really, in person and stuff like that.”

However, the star insisted she will be doing “something or other”.

“We have a few options in the pipeline and we are just trying to sort of work out what is most doable,” she said.

“Obviously I had to cancel my final two Wembley shows and I was devastated. I just don’t want to be cancelling anything again.”

“Maybe I’ll be b***** busking in the Tube, we just don’t know do we!” she joked.

Adele, 33, also opened up to Ball about making her new record, which is thought to have been inspired by her recent divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki.

“I definitely feel like I lost sight of and lost the appreciation of actually what a gift it is to be into music and to be able to make it,” she told the presenter.

“I feel like I got a bit frightened of it for a while and it really, really took care of me big time.

“Not just making this record, but sort of like diving back in to old records of other people’s that I love, discovering new artists on SoundCloud or whatever, it was just… it brought so much joy to my life being able to listen to music and wail at the top of my lungs, you know, along to my own b***** songs.”

She went on: “I don’t know what my outlet would have been had I not had it and it made me feel like, some people don’t have any b***** outlet which is why they never get to leap and jump and put themselves first.”

Adele said the album was “b***** hard work to make” as she was singing things that she didn’t realise she was feeling or thinking.

She went on: “I’m really, really proud of it and I feel like I can’t unlock a door for my own mental health and take the key with me, I’ve got to leave it in the door for everyone else.

“And I’m in a strong place now where I feel like I can put that vulnerability out.”
