After accusations surfaced online over the weekend claiming Gosha Rubchinskiy asked a teen boy to send him nudes over social media, Adidas will investigate the matter, according to Sole Collector. In response to a request for comment from Fashionista, a spokesperson for the global sports brand, which currently has a multi-season partnership with the Russian designer, says, "Adidas takes any allegation of this nature extremely seriously and are currently looking into the claim that has been made." More information will be shared from the brand as soon as possible.

Rubchinskiy has also responded to the claims, refuting the allegations and explaining that his online conversations are for street casting purposes only. The shady process also sheds a light on the industry's messy morals, too.

Back in April, Rubchinskiy announced that he would discontinue seasonal collections from his namesake brand and focus on growing his Paccbet line, as well as a brand-new venture. (Fall 2018 is the designer's final collection for his eponymous line.) Rubchinskiy's collections with Adidas proved to be a successful collaboration, especially surrounding the World Cup in Russia. However, whether or not the partnership between the two will continue remains to be seen.

We've reached out to both Rubchinskiy's team for comment and will update this post as we learn more.
