Adkins leads Meadow Bridge to victory

Aug. 28—MEADOW BRIDGE — Dustin Adkins threw three touchdown passes as Meadow Bridge defeated Van 26-14 in its season opener.

Adkins completed 9 of 16 passes for 86 yards. Two of his touchdowns went to Conner Mullins (five receptions for 61 yards) and the other went to James McClure (3 for 15).

Adkins also had 13 tackles on defense. Ty Roles made 12 stops and McClure had two fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

The Wildcats (1-0) will go to Richwood Friday night.
