Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Wish, Buddy, Sage, Binx, Acorn
ROCKVILLE, MD — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at Montgomery County's adoption center. The facility houses dozens of cats, dogs, and other adorable critters. And all of them need a furever home.
Here, we've rounded up a list of five adoptable pets for a series called "Patch's Adoptable Pets of the Week." This week, we're featuring Wish, Buddy, Sage, Binx, and Acorn.

WISH

Sex, Breed: Spayed female, sable German Shepherd Dog.
Age: Approx. 4 years old.

BUDDY

Sex, Breed: Neutered male, orange Domestic Shorthair.
Age: Approx. 10 years old.
Arrived at Shelter: July 10, 2020.
Shelter staff made the following comments about this animal: Buddy (A465227) is the best conversationalist we’ve ever met! Boy is this guy chatty. He loves to talk back to us when as ask him how his day is and if he knows he’s the prettiest boy in the world!If only we knew what he was saying to us. At 10 years old, we bet Buddy has a lot of wisdom to impart on us! Or maybe he’s just asking for more pets.Buddy is a sweet senior fella who really just wants to spend his golden years getting pets and snuggling up with you. Buddy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and is instant friends with everybody he meets. Classic orange tabby!

SAGE

Sex, Breed: Neutered male, tan Beagle and American Staffordshire Terrier.
Age: Approx. 2 years and 11 months old.
Arrived at Shelter: Oct. 25, 2020.
Shelter staff made the following comments about this animal: Sage loves to play with toys, and is good at entertaining himself by tossing around his toys. He would love a home with a yard to run around in! He is initially shy with new people and doesn't enjoy loud noises. He does however like to talk and express his feelings with little hound-y barks! Sage would like a forever home with a dog-savvy owner that will give him time to get comfortable. When Sage is comfortable he loves butt scratches!
