Adrian baseball completes sweep of Jackson

JACKSON — The Adrian baseball team completed a Southeastern Conference White Division sweep of Jackson Thursday, 7-2.

Brendan Howard led the Maples (14-10, 12-3 SEC White) at the plate as he went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Solomon Hiatt and Sean Parker each had a double.

Sean Parker tossed a complete game, giving up two runs and five hits while striking out six.

Onsted at Lenawee Christian (DH): At Adrian, the Wildcats won a pair of non-league games as they beat the Cougars, 18-3 in four innings and 21-0 in three.

JT Hill tossed a perfect three innings in the second game, striking out eight of the nine batters he faced. Hill also went 2-for-2 with an RBI and four runs.

Quinn Hiram got the win in the opener as he went four innings and gave up two earned runs, on two hits and four walks while striking out three. Hiram also went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBIs and two runs.

Brody Giroux went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, two runs and a stolen base.

Onsted is 21-4 on the season.

Clinton at Jonesville (DH): At Jonesville, the Redwolves won a pair of non-league games while topping the Comets, 4-2 and 12-1.

Clinton (22-6) got six strong innings from Caden Arntz in Game 1 before Ben Kennedy shut the door for the save.

Kennedy, Keegan Huston and Samuel Brown combined for a dominate performance on the mound in Game 2.

Michigan Center 3, Addison 0: At Michigan Center, the Panthers fell in the Cascades Conference semifinal game against the Cardinals.

Drew Spink gave up the three runs, on seven hits and struck out two.

Josh Ray and Jay Griewahn had the Panthers (8-6-1) lone hits of the game.
