Heavy metal band Fatal Conceit recently played a sold-out show along with metal bands Eva Under Fire and Kaleido at a new venue in Wyandotte called District 142, which has a maximum capacity of 700 concert goers, according to a news release from Fatal Conceit.

Fronting Fatal Conceit is Adrian College alumnus Timothy Martuch.

“It was truly incredible to perform for such a packed room. The energy was absolutely electric,” Martuch said in the release.

Fatal Conceit performed a 35-minute set, including a guest appearance from viral YouTube star Kayla King. The set consisted of primarily original songs, some of which are available through online streaming services, such as “Devil’s Little Helper” and “Takin Back the Name.”

The cover that Fatal Conceit performed with King was originally a tune by Halestorm titled “I Get Off.” Adding to the spectacle, lead guitarist “Pizza Joe” Blake went all-in on his stage name, donning a pizza-print jumpsuit and unveiling a new custom painted pizza guitar while tossing slices of pizza into the crowd between solos.

Also performing in Fatal Conceit were Katie “Kixx” Puga on bass and drummer James Balina. Puga also provided vocals on original tunes “Devil’s Little Helper” and “Nightmare.”

WRIF 101 in Detroit sponsored the show.

On May 13, Fatal Conceit will open for California metal band Stryper at the Token Lounge in Westland.
