Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes discusses election security on the debut of The Briefing, a weekly broadcast-style news show produced by The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com.

The show, hosted by Republic reporter Rafael Carranza, explores news and issues through interviews with other reporters and newsmakers in a fast-paced, easy-to-digest format.

The Briefing publishes to azcentral.com and YouTube, where The Republic’s audience has grown to nearly 130,000 followers.

Also on the first show: A visit to Runbeck Election Services, which prints ballots in Phoenix, and a discussion of the year ahead with some of The Republic’s reporters who will cover elections extensively.

The Briefing is just one layer of The Republic's coverage of politics and the 2024 election.
