Advance Auto Parts pursues Airport Road location

Oct. 10—Advance Auto Parts is seeking a zoning change to open its second store in Santa Fe at 6350 Airport Road at Paseo del Sol.

The property is currently zoned commercial C-1, which is more office-oriented, and the auto parts chain seeks a commercial C-2 zoning, which addresses automotive services.

The project had an Early Neighborhood Notification meeting Sept. 20, and a Santa Fe Planning Commission meeting is set for Nov. 3, said Victoria Dalton, co-owner of NM Land Solutions LLC, formerly Siebert & Associates, an urban planning consulting firm.

Dalton said the store likely would be less than 10,000 square feet.

"They have a long way to go," she said. "We're just trying to get the zoning."

Dalton said the store likely would open later in 2023.

Advance Auto Parts has one other Santa Fe store at 1209 Siler Road.
