AdventHealth Breaks Ground on New ‘Care Pavilion’ Concept

WESTCHASE, FL — AdventHealth will break ground on the construction of two new Care Pavilions – one in Westchase and one in New Tampa. These new medical care pavilions will be part of the AdventHealth network of care and will provide additional convenient access to patients by integrating multiple health care services into one location for convenient “one-stop shopping.”

The goal of the Care Pavilion is to focus on convenience, making health care easier to access while enhancing the overall patient experience.

“We are continuously innovating how we deliver care in our communities by understanding what services are needed – even those outside of the traditional health care delivery model – and help fill those gaps in care,” said Mike Schultz, president and CEO of AdventHealth West Florida Division. “This year has presented a number of challenges that allowed us to be innovative in how we provide care to consumers, including modifying existing technology and leveraging new technology to continue to treat COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients. Our care pavilions are a natural extension of what consumers are telling us they want and need in their communities.”

The AdventHealth Care Pavilions will provide both traditional and non-traditional health care amenities at each location based on the size of the facility and the medical needs of the community. The use of innovative technology and architectural designs will also be fundamental and unique to each location to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

The first two Care Pavilion concepts in Tampa Bay will be located in Westchase at 10987 Sheldon Road, Tampa, and New Tampa at 8702 Hunters Lake Drive Tampa. Construction on both facilities is expected to be completed the summer of 2021.

The West Florida Division of AdventHealth includes AdventHealth Carrollwood, AdventHealth Connerton, AdventHealth Dade City, AdventHealth Lake Placid, AdventHealth North Pinellas, AdventHealth Ocala, AdventHealth Sebring, AdventHealth Tampa, AdventHealth Wauchula, AdventHealth Wesley Chapel and AdventHealth Zephyrhills, as well as five freestanding offsite emergency rooms including AdventHealth Brandon ER, AdventHealth Central Pasco ER, AdventHealth Palm Harbor ER, AdventHealth TimberRidge ER and AdventHealth Westchase ER.
