The AdventHealth Championship golf tourney continues at Blue Hills: Round 2 scores

The AdventHealth Championship continued Friday on a rainy day in Kansas City. The event, held at Blue Hills Country Club, saw a bit of a shakeup at the top of the leaderboard, as two of the top three Round 1 finishers dipped out of the top 10 entirely.

Remaining in first is Wilson Furr, who shot nine-under on Day 1 and one-under on Friday to bring his total to -10. But joining him is David Skinns, who began a productive Day 1 with an eagle and posted a four-under 68 on Friday to finish Day 2 tied for first.

John Augenstein, in second following Thursday’s Round 1, is now tied for 22nd at five-under. Brad Hopfinger, tied for third after shooting seven-under the first day, finished Day 2 tied for 15th at six-under. Augenstein triple-bogeyed the ninth hole, the difference between finishing tied for 22nd and tied for fourth.

Rico Hoey now sits in third after shooting a six-under 66 on Friday. He is at nine-under, one stroke back of the lead.

Entrants at this year’s event are competing for a share of a $1 million total purse, as well as spots on the PGA Tour. The four-day, 72-hole tournament continues through Sunday at Blue Hills C.C.

Single-day tickets to this week’s tournament are $10. Passes granting admission for all four days are $30. Youth (17 and younger), current and former military members and first responders will be admitted free.
