Aerial Footage Shows Smoke Billowing From California's Antelope Fire

Northern California’s Antelope Fire grew to 73,558 acres with 83 percent containment by early September 8, according to the latest official reports.

A fast-moving spot fire prompted the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office to issue an evacuation order for the area around Medicine Lake on Monday.

Local media said this was the second time a mandatory evacuation order had been issued for Medicine Lake due to the Antelope Fire.

Aerial footage released by the California National Guard on Tuesday shows smoke billowing from the wildfire, which was burning in Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County.
