The devastation of wildfires continues to come into view in western Maui in Hawaii, where at least 67 people had died as of Friday evening.

The town of Lahaina is devastated and lies in ruin.

“Lahaina, with a few rare exceptions, has been burned down,” said Gov. Josh Green, per CBS News. “Without a doubt, it feels like a bomb was dropped on Lahaina.”

Aerial photos from The Associated Press showed the extent of the devastation.
