Aerosmith announces ‘Peace Out’ farewell tour. Here’s how to get Knoxville tickets

The dream is going on for one last time. Aerosmith has announced its farewell tour, which will include a stop in Knoxville.

“PEACE OUT! After 50 years, 10 world tours, and playing for over 100 million fans... It's time for one last go!” the band wrote in the tour announcement on May 1.

Aerosmith will perform at Thompson-Boling Arena Jan. 13, 2024. General tickets will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. May 5. All tickets will be sold online at Ticketmaster. The Black Crowes will be special guests.

“It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives,” front man Steven Tyler and Aerosmith said in a joint statement.

The band promises to celebrate five decades of Aerosmith’s hits as "America’s greatest rock band." A variety of VIP packages and experiences will also be available for die-hard fans. Packages include a premium reserved ticket, a personal photo opportunity with band members and limited edition merchandise.

More information on VIP upgrades can be found at Aerosmith.com.

Founded in 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts, the band played Knoxville as far back as an October 1975. The Knoxville Civic Coliseum show was with special guests R.E.O. Speedwagon and Ted Nugent. Tickets for that show were $5.50, according to a News Sentinel ad for the 1975 performance.

In December 2003, Aerosmith was double-billed alongside KISS at Thompson-Boling Arena. Coincidentally, KISS recently announced its own "End of the Road Tour," which is scheduled to stop in Knoxville Nov. 24.
