AEW has crowned the winners of this year's Men's and Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments.

On Saturday's edition of Collision both finals took place, with Willow Nightingale first defeating Ruby Soho to lift the women's trophy.

Willow's win came just weeks after she lost the NJPW Strong Women's Championship to Giulia at Independence Day.

Over on the men's side, Ricky Starks was crowned the winner, after defeating CM Punk in controversial fashion. Starks got the three count but the referee didn't see he was holding the ropes to keep Punk down.

After winning the match Starks walked up the ramp and snatched the tournament trophy out of the hands of NJPW legend Jushin Thunder Liger, who was there to present the cup.

AEW held its first Owen Hart Foundation Tournament in 2022, with Adam Cole and Britt Baker lifting the men's and women's trophies respectively at Double or Nothing.

The tournament came after AEW partnered with the Owen Hart Foundation, a charity which provides college scholarships for students in Canada. The organisation was set up by Dr. Martha Hart to honour her late husband Owen who died in 1999.

Speaking about the partnership after it was announced, Chris Jericho told Digital Spy: "It was a passion project for me and obviously for Martha and Tony (Khan).

"I just knew I wanted Owen's legacy to be something positive and something great as far as wrestling goes, rather than just be dwelling on his death. I think that's the main reason why we all wanted this to happen, so that we can celebrate Owen Hart's career and the contributions that he made. He was a pioneer.

"We'll do the Owen Hart Cup and tournament and make people feel good about Owen rather than feel sad. We know what happened to him but that was over 20 years ago. Let's move forward remembering his amazing contributions and legacy in the ring that still resonate to this day."
