Afghan war vet: “My friends are afraid to even try to get to the airport”

Afghan war vet Kiyoshi Mino, who served 3 tours of duty in Afghanistan, is desperately working to get the interpreters he worked with out of the country, who have been forced into hiding as the Taliban crackdown intensifies. “The airport itself is secure, but the area around it not at all. There are Taliban checkpoints. My friends are afraid to even try to get to the airport.”
