Five years ago, a very special holiday was born in Cincinnati: National Tartar Sauce Day.

It was founded by Cincinnati-based Frisch's in 2017 in honor of their fish sandwiches topped, of course, with tartar sauce, and is celebrated annually the first Friday of Lent.

Holidays: Dates to know for Lent and Easter

And this Friday, in celebration of National Tartar Sauce Day, Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval is proclaiming it as Frisch's Big Boy Day.

This year is also the 75th anniversary of Frisch's. To celebrate, the restaurant chain has created two fish sandwiches just in time for Lent: the Stacked Fish sandwich and the Spicy Stacked Fish sandwich.

The Stacked Fish sandwich has two pieces of fish, two slices of cheese, tartar sauce, lettuce and pickle on a double-decker bun, and the Spicy Stacked Fish has spicy tartar and pepper jack.
