Afternoon Briefing: Mother of teen killed at Oak Park BP sues the gas station
Good afternoon, Chicago.
The death of a beloved and “effortlessly brilliant” Northwestern University doctoral student whose body was found in Lake Michigan after he left a party on the North Side and went missing has been ruled an accidental drowning, officials and the school said.
And the family of an 18-year-old who was shot to death outside a BP gas station in Oak Park in June sued the owners of that gas station today in Cook County Circuit Court.
