NORWELL – The Company Theatre will let the sunshine in for its production of the groundbreaking hippie musical "Hair," running July 29 through Aug.  21.

"Hair" is directed by Company Theatre co-founder Zoe Bradford with musical direction by Robert McDonough, choreography by Sally Ashton Forrest, lighting by Dean Palmer Jr. and sets by Ryan Barrow.

“This cast of young adults has our stage resonating with life as they perform memorable songs with new choreography. The professional band, vintage costumes and kaleidoscopic lighting effects are sure to be exciting,”  Bradford said.

“Hair,” about young people coming together to change the world, has story and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot. It was the first rock musical on Broadway, and it paved the way for other rock musicals, including “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Rent.”

The Massachusetts League of Women Voters will be present at performances of "Hair" to register residents.
