This week the Eugene City Council will select which walking, biking, safety and street tree projects to prioritize with part of the money from the street repair bond voters approved in November 2022, discuss neighborhood plans for Bethel and the University area and respond to the now-certified petition to use the STAR alternative voting method for Eugene elections.

The Springfield Economic Development Agency (city councilors plus the mayor and Lane County Commissioner David Loveall representing Springfield) will vote on whether to lease the Memorial Building for continued use as an Egan Warming Center. Springfield city councilors will interview applicants applying for three of Springfield's advisory boards and they will discuss a proposed tax waiver to incentivize denser housing.

Lane County Commissioners will vote on whether to let Oregon Recovery and Treatment Centers open a methadone clinic in downtown Eugene and on patching part of the budget shortfall for two of the funds that pay for county corrections. They also will hear an update on broadband access in Lane County.
