Here’s a roundup of what local elected leaders will talk about during public meetings this week.

Eugene City Council

To watch: Meetings stream online at bit.ly/Eugene-meetings and broadcast on Comcast channel 21.

To attend: Council meetings are held in the Mary Spilde Center at 101 W 10th Ave. There's an opportunity for in-person attendance during the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

To comment: When there's a public forum or public hearing, there will be an option to join the meeting for those not attending in person. People who call in also can comment. There are instructions given for speaking during the meeting.

WORK SESSION

When: 5:30 p.m. Monday

What: Councilors will get an update on the budget.

They'll also get an introduction to House Bill 3115, which prohibits cities from banning camping or sleeping in public spaces but allows for regulations on when, where and how people camp as long as most people, including those experiencing homelessness, would consider them fair.

REGULAR MEETING

When: 7:30 p.m. Monday

What: After reporting on committee actions and other items of interest, councilors will consider a consent calendar that includes minutes and the tentative working agenda.

The council then will hold a public forum to hear general community feedback.

Councilors also will vote on an ordinance that would remove annexed properties from special districts, including the Lane Fire Authority and Willamalane Park and Recreation District.

JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH LANE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

When: 6 p.m. Tuesday

What: Councilors and commissioners will hold a virtual public hearing on an ordinance that would establish urban reserves for Eugene and update related planning documents. Urban reserves are areas reserved for future growth outside the urban growth boundary.

Springfield City Council

What: Councilors will get an update on implementation of Climate Friendly and Equitable Communities Rules.

They'll also give staff guidance on percentage increases for master fees and charges going into the next fiscal year.

SPRINGFIELD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD

The SEDA board comprises city council, the mayor and Springfield's representative on the Lane County Board of Commissioners.

REGULAR MEETING

When: 7:15 p.m. Monday

What: Councilors will consider a consent agenda with minutes before listening and responding to public comment.

They'll also consider the purchase of 0.35 acres in the Glenwood riverfront area from Track Town Holdings.

To attend: Board of Commissioner meetings begin at 9 a.m. in Harris Hall, 125 E 8th Ave., unless otherwise noted. Doors to Harris Hall open at 8:45 a.m.

To comment: When there's a chance to comment, people must register for the meeting to do so virtually. After registering, people will get information for how to attend.

Those who go to the meeting in person should sign up on the sign-in sheet located by the entry door.

There will be instructions during the meeting for speaking during public hearings and making public comment.

MORNING SESSION

When: 9 a.m. Tuesday

What: Commissioners will listen and respond to public comment then consider a consent calendar that includes accepting a grant for Holiday Farm Fire recovery efforts and contracts.

They'll also consider orders that would transfer the Red Lion Hotel involved in Project Turnkey to Homes for Good for permanent supportive housing and that would approve or amend contracts related to housing, low-income energy assistance and more.

Councilors then will consider amended bylaws for the Charter Review Committee.

The board also will get a semi-annual report from Travel Lane County.

AFTERNOON SESSION

When: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday

What: Commissioners will discuss and vote on letters related to requests for congressionally directed spending in the upcoming fiscal year.

They'll also discuss strategic planning.
