WORK SESSION

What: Councilors will discuss the city's housing implementation pipeline

REGULAR MEETING
When: 7:30 p.m. Monday
What: Councilors will report on committee actions and other items of interest before considering a consent agenda that includes two low-income rental property tax exemptions.
They'll then hold a public forum to hear general comments from the community.
The council will consider a low-income rental property tax exemption and conditional loan forgiveness for Oak Leaf Village, a senior assisted living facility.
Councilors also will take action on items related to resources for housing that's affordable to people with low incomes.

WORK SESSION
When: Noon Wednesday
What: Councilors will discuss deal points related to the project to redevelop the former Eugene Water & Electric Board steam plant.

Springfield City Council

What: Staff will present an action plan for Community Development Block Grant funds in the fiscal year that starts July 1.
Councilors also will have a quarterly check-in on the project to update the city's development rules.

Lane County Board of Commissioners
To watch: County meetings stream at bit.ly/LaneCounty-meetings.
To comment: When there's a chance to comment, people must register for the meeting. After registering, they'll get information for how to attend. There will be instructions during the meeting for speaking during public hearings and making public comment.
People also can email diana.jones@lanecountyor.gov with public comment by noon Monday. The subject line should include "PUBLIC COMMENT FOR MEETING DATE 01/25/2022."
MORNING SESSION
When: 9 a.m. Tuesday
What: Commissioners will listen and respond to public comment.
They'll then convene as the board of public health to get an update on response and recovery efforts related to the coronavirus pandemic.

After considering a consent agenda, the board will get an update from staff on initiatives to help the unhoused.

AFTERNOON SESSION
When: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday
What: The board will hold a second reading and public hearing for two ordinances. One would improve enforcement of rules related to tobacco and e-cigarette or vape sales. The other would make housekeeping revisions related to noise, illicit discharge, nuisance and other topics.
Commissioners then will consider an order to amend the county's manual for administrative enforcement and penalties.
They'll also consider a draft of the second phase of the county's climate action plan, which deals with mitigating community greenhouse gas emissions.

MORNING SESSION
When: 9 a.m. Wednesday
What: Staff will present a draft of the county's strategic plan through 2024.
Commissioners also will get an update on the affordable housing action plan.
