South Dakota Board of Education Standards

The South Dakota Board of Education Standards meets at 9 a.m. Monday at the Dakota Event Center, 720 S. Lamont St., in Aberdeen to discuss career and technical education content standards, and social studies content standards. This is the first of four public hearings regarding these standards.

Aberdeen City Council

Meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the city council chambers at the Municipal Building, 123 S. Lincoln St. Agenda items of note:

  • Second reading and consider adoption of the 2023 budget.

  • Public hearing for the city's five-year capital improvement plan.

  • Consider an amended contract with the Department of Transportation for Ride Line with reduction in federal funding.

Brown County Commission

Meets at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in the commission chambers of the Brown County Courthouse Annex, 25 Market St. Agenda items of note:

  • Department update from Brown County Chief Deputy Dave Lunzman as well as updates drone and the dive team.

  • Discuss opioid settlement memorandum of understanding.

  • Consider approval of union contract.

Meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the basement of the Brown County courthouse Annex, 25 Market St. Agenda items of note include:
