“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” star Chloe Bennet has denied rumors that she will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The 31-year-old Chinese American actor, who played hacker-turned-superhuman agent Daisy Johnson/Quake in the seven-season ABC series from 2013 to 2020, told Screen Rant in a recent interview that she has yet to be asked to return to the MCU.

I so deeply love S.H.I.E.L.D.'s fans because it's this tenacity that got the show on air to begin with. I have not once been approached or asked or involved in anything after I wrapped S.H.I.E.L.D. And I am not involved in anything that is coming out. I've not been asked, but I would be more than excited to put on the suit again. And, of course, of course, Daisy is a big part of who I am. So I would love to, but I have not been communicated [with] about it.

Rumors about Bennet appearing in future Marvel projects, such as the TV series “Secret Invasion,” have been floating around the past few years.

Several fans notably grew hopeful about Bennet’s return after she posed with daisies in several Instagram photos in November 2022, speculating that it was a reference to her character's name on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Although Bennet won’t be returning to the MCU anytime soon, fans can look forward to her roles in several upcoming projects, including “Interior Chinatown” with Lauren Tom and “Rally Road Racers” with Jimmy O. Yang and Lisa Lu.
