LAS CRUCES - The New Mexico State softball team returned to the NM State Softball Complex for a day featuring matchups against No. 4 Oklahoma State and rival New Mexico. As they did on the first day, the Aggies struggled in their opener before rebounding to earn a second one-run win against the rival Lobos.

Following a 13-0 loss to Oklahoma State, the Aggies beat UNM 7-6 with Kristen Boyd providing what turned out to be a crucial solo home run in the sixth inning that gave the Aggies a 7-5 lead.

The Aggies held on for the win after taking a 6-1 lead after two innings, highlighted by a Paige Knight home run.
