Aggressive middle-aged cyclist mooned and struck multiple pedestrians on a trail: cops

Cops in Arlington County, Va., arrested a 55-year-old man they say has been wreaking havoc on nature trails outside the nation’s capital.

Arl Now reports David Marlowe is accused of aggressively cursing at, mooning and in some cases striking pedestrians on at least five occasions over the past month. Marlowe is also being investigated over similar instances in recent weeks, that report said.

Cops said that on Sunday the Arlington man was charged with “Robbery, Assault and Battery, Indecent Exposure and Felony Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana" and is being held without bond. No more details were provided on the pot-dealing accusation.

He’s also accused of trying to steal one woman’s phone after flashing her and a male friend in the early morning of Aug. 11. Several witnesses told police their encounters with Marlowe occurred after he blew past them from behind on a black bicycle, either instructing them to move aside or taking exception when they commented on his alleged recklessness.
