AHM to host preschool summer camp

Apr. 14—HEBRON — Preschoolers have their own camp options this summer in Hebron.

The Andover Hebron Marlborough Youth and Family Services will offer a day camp program led by two early childhood educators.

The indoor and outdoor activities will be held at RHAM High School, located at 85 Wall St.

One of the benefits is participating children will improve their gross and fine motor skills through social activities.

The camp begins June 27 and runs weekly through Aug. 19, excluding the Fourth of July holiday. The hours are from 9 a.m. to noon.

The camp is open to 3-, 4-and 5-year-olds or those who will turn 3 years old by Sept. 1 this year. All children must be toilet trained.

There is no charge to attend, as the program is funded by the Connecticut Department of Education and grants from Verizon Wireless, but children can only be registered for one week of camp unless there is space available for more weeks.

Children from Andover, Columbia, Hebron and Marlborough can be registered for two weeks of camp, unless there is space available for more weeks.

Registration will be made on a first- come, first- served basis.
