AHM youth services receives donation

May 9—The Hebron Lions Club has made a donation to the Andover Hebron Marlborough Youth and Family Services. The club donated $ 13,000 to the youth bureau during its annual Night of Giving held in April.

"Each of the last 39 years, AHM Youth and Family Services has benefited from a community partnership with the Hebron Lions Club," said Joel Rosenberg, the director of development for AHM. "No other civic organization has played a larger role in contributing to youth and family programs for local children and teens. The Hebron Lions Club was the very first civic organization to extend a helping hand when AHM was first being formed back in the 1980s. Today that bond is stronger than ever."

The donation was presented to AHM by lifetime Lions Club member John Soderberg of Hebron, and accepted by Rosenberg and AHM's Executive Director Tressa Giordano.

AHM provides youth development programs, substance abuse prevention services, counseling, mentoring, a youth theater program, a teen center, a preschool program and a chores partnership where teens assist local senior citizens, among other services held both in person and online. Located in Hebron, the bureau serves Columbia as well as Andover and Marlborough.

" Programs in large part have been possible through the support of the Hebron Lions Club,"
