AHN CEO Cynthia Hundorfean moving to new role within Highmark Health

Allegheny Health Network President and CEO Cynthia Hundorfean will move to a new role at parent company Highmark Health in the new year, the company announced Monday afternoon. Jefferson Health President Dr. Bruce A. Meyer will join Highmark Health as executive VP and Western Pennsylvania market president.

Hundorfean will become chief Living Health development officer for Highmark Health, a signature initiative for the Pittsburgh-based nonprofit that seeks to redefine and improve the health care experience for patient and provider through data and technology.

Hundorfean has been president and CEO of AHN, Highmark Health’s health care system that includes Allegheny General Hospital and West Penn Hospital, since 2016.
