Aiken Regional Medical Centers names new CFO

Nov. 10—Aiken Regional Medical Centers has named a new chief financial officer.

Effective November 7, Jeffrey Zyla is the chief financial officer for Aiken Regional Medical Centers, according to its media release .

Zyla will serve as the key financial advisor and be responsible for oversight of the system's strategic financial plan to ensure the organization's overall fiscal viability, internal controls, monitoring performance and further developing strategic and financial initiatives, the release said.

Before coming to Aiken Regional, Zyla served as the chief financial officer at Community Systems' Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.

"I am pleased to join the Aiken Regional team and be a part of the local community," Zyla said in the release. "I look forward to assisting in strengthening the business and brand so that we can continue to provide high quality, comprehensive healthcare services to my new neighbors and colleagues."

Zyla has a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Grand Canyon University and a bachelor degree in accounting from from Rutgers University.

He was part of the International Honor Society in Business Administration and named an Emerging Healthcare Leader by the Arizona Hospital & Healthcare Association for 2010-2011.
