Aiken Standard to hold inaugural Royal Ball on Dec. 11 at historical museum

Nov. 5—Have you ever been to a royal ball?

Well now is your chance with the Aiken Standard's inaugural Royal Ball.

The presence of every prince and princess in the CSRA is requested to attend the inaugural Royal Ball set for Sunday, Dec. 11, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Aiken County Historical Museum, 433 Newberry St., S.W. in Aiken.

This event will feature dancing, food, characters, face painting and more, said Diane Daniell, the advertising sales manager for the Aiken Standard.

She encourages everyone to come dressed in either costumes or their Sunday best outfits.

Attendees will receive a tote bag with a crown and wand at the event. The event will also have DJ Jason Sikes handling the music, Daniell said.

Tickets cost $25 for children, which includes food, face painting, photo with a character, crown and wand, and $10 for adults, which includes lunch.
